RULES & REGULATIONS

No entry fee or purchase is required. To enter the contest, visit the contest entry page at   www.themovienetwork.ca/boardwalkempire  and provide the requested information and you will automatically be entered to win.

Only one entry per household will be accepted. All mass entries will be disqualified. Entries from groups and/or organized charities will not be accepted. The contest runs from August 16, 2010 to11:59pm on Sunday, September 5, 2010 (the “Contest Period).

 

ELIGIBILITY

This contest is open to residents of eastern Canada only (east of the Ontario/Manitoba border, excluding residents of the province of Quebec) who have reached the minimum age of 21, except employees of Astral Television Networks - A Division of Astral Broadcasting Group Inc., Astral Media Inc. (collectively the “Contest Sponsors”), and cable, satellite or other affiliates of THE MOVIE NETWORK or their respective advertising or promotional agencies (collectively, the “Releasees”) as well as their immediate families and persons with whom they are domiciled. This contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws and regulations.  Void where prohibited by law.  The Movie Network reserves the right to cancel or suspend this contest in the event of any accident, or administrative error or any kind.

THE MOVIE NETWORK reserves the right to ask for proof of identification, which must be provided upon request.  If proof of identification can not be obtained then the entry will be disqualified. The contact information collected by THE MOVIE NETWORK with your entry will only be used to award the contest prizes.  THE MOVIE NETWORK will not use this personal information for any other reason and will not otherwise disclose this personal information to any other party.

All entries are the property of THE MOVIE NETWORK and will not be returned. The Releasees shall not be responsible for entries which are illegible or which have been lost, misdirected, delayed, stolen, destroyed, incomplete, garbled or received after the contest deadline. In the event that THE MOVIE NETWORK receives  more than one (1) entry per person, THE MOVIE NETWORK reserves the right to void  and destroy duplicate entries and that entrant may at the discretion of THE MOVIE NETWORK, be disqualified from the Contest.  Should it be discovered that the entrant is using the aid of computer programs to auto-fill entries, that entrant will be immediately disqualified from the Contest.  THE MOVIE NETWORK reserves the right to disqualify all such contestants from future contests without further notice.

In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address at the time of entry.  The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the e-mail address in question.

 

PRIZE

Boardwalk Empire Red Carpet Premiere

The value of prize is approximately $5,000 CDN and includes:

• 2 tickets to the Red Carpet premiere of Boardwalk Empire, taking place in Atlantic City on Thursday, September 16, 2010 (subject to change without notice)
• Flights for a winner and guest from nearest Canadian airport in Eastern Canada to the nearerst airport to Atlantic City (dep Sep 15, return Sep 18, 2010)
• 3 nights accommodation at a hotel rated 4 star or better in Atlantic City
• $500 Canadian spending money

The prize is non-transferable, must be accepted as awarded and cannot be redeemed for cash. THE MOVIE NETWORK reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute any portion of the prizes with a prize of equal or greater value.

 

CONTEST DRAW

The contest will run from 6:00AM (ET) on August 16, 2010 to 11:59PM (ET) on September 5, 2010. A random draw will be made at THE MOVIE NETWORK head office in Toronto, Ontario on or about 1:00pm ET on September 7, 2010 from all eligible entries received. Following the draw, the selected entrant will be contacted by email or phone to answer a mathemactically skill testing question and to verify their identity.  Travel plans will be confirmed once confirmation and waivers are received. 

The chances of being selected depend upon the number of eligible entries received.

 

ACCEPTANCE OF PRIZE

Entrants selected as winners agree that they have complied with the official contest rules and regulations, and must correctly complete a mathematical skill testing question and must sign a declaration confirming compliance with the rules and regulations and acceptance of the prize as awarded, and a release form acknowledging the non-responsibility of THE MOVIE NETWORK and the other Releasees, their affiliates and/or associates and their respective agents, employees and officers and directors with regard to any injury, accident, damage, claim, liability, loss or misfortune related to any aspects of the contest, prize, the acceptance, use, misuse, possession and delivery of the prize,  printing errors, claims based upon publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy, prior to being awarded the Prize.

The Contest Sponsors and the cable, satellite or other television affiliates of THE MOVIE NETWORK and their respective agents or representatives shall not be responsible in any way for the use of, or bear any liability whatsoever attributable to the prize awarded in this Contest.

The Sponsors will not be held responsible for the loss of prizes due to changes in mailing addresses, errors in completed entry forms or any other circumstances leading to an invalid, erroneous or incomplete mailing address or e-mail address.

THE MOVIE NETWORK or its appointed designee shall deliver prizes to winners.

 

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be exactly as shown.  THE MOVIE NETWORK, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute any portion of the Grand Prize Package with a prize of equivalent or greater retail value.  Some restrictions may apply.  Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and have no cash value.

All entries become the property of THE MOVIE NETWORK and will not be returned.

Each entrant agrees to waive all rights with respect to print and broadcast publicity. By entering the contest and accepting a prize, the winner hereby consents to the reasonable use by THE MOVIE NETWORK of the winner's photograph, voice, likeness and/or image, contents of the entry form and the name and age of the winner without any further compensation for any future promotional activity.  Each entrant consents and agrees to the Sponsors’ collection and use of the information provided by the entrant for the purpose of administering this Contest.  Each entrant agrees to be bound by these Contest Rules and Regulations.

By submitting a contest entry, participants agreed to be bound by these rules. Entrants agree that neither THE MOVIE NETWORK, its affiliates or any of the other contest sponsors, if any, shall not be liable or responsible for any failure of THE MOVIE NETWORK website or any failure of the entrant’s cell-phone carrier during the contest or any problems or technical malfunctions with respect to telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, cell-phone networks or any failure thereof or Internet traffic congestion or virus or any combination thereof including injury or damage to an entrant’s or third party’s computer or cell phone. THE MOVIE NETWORK reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend a contest, without notice, in the event of any printing, typographical or administrative error, virus, bug, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond its control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the contest.

By entering the contest, entrants agree that the Releasees shall bear no responsibility whatsoever with regard to any claims, liability, damage, injury, accident, loss and/or misfortune related to any aspects of the contest, prize, the acceptance, use, misuse, possession and delivery of the prize, printing errors, claims based upon publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.

Each winner, if any, is responsible for paying any and all taxes on any prize(s) won and must authorize the deduction of such taxes, if any, from the prize(s) to the extent required by law.  This contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws. Contest void where prohibited by law. All decisions of THE MOVIE NETWORK are final. THE MOVIE NETWORK reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this contest or to change the contest rules at any time without prior notice.
