Sadie wants to be a cop and sees her testimony at Ray’s trial as a proving ground. Trouble is, she can’t shake the terror Ray caused her. The continuing harassment from certain of her classmates and her parent’s looming divorce make it even harder. Though she maintains that Ray never touched her, something did happen, something she has to acknowledge in order to get past it. Getting past it means going to Ray, and Ray, aware that she’s the witness who will bring him down, manipulates her into believing that her father isn’t so different from him: a murderer. Meanwhile, with her mother’s help, Sadie rekindles her friendship with Ray Jr. and begins to rely on the son of the man who haunts her every thought.
