About the Show

Award-winning British comedy sensation Marc Wootton stars in LA LA LAND, the new six-episode, half-hour series about three wannabes struggling to find fame and fortune in Los Angeles: 1) Brendan Allen is a talentless documentary filmmaker on a quest to become the next Morgan Spurlock, 2) Shirley Ghostman is a medium willing to lie, cheat and even drug his way to becoming America's next psychic superstar and 3) Gary Garner is an East-London taxi driver using the inheritance from his late porn-star mother to forge a career as an action star like his hero Jason Statham. While these Wootton creations are all fictional characters, everybody else in the show -- including Wootton's accomplices Kiki (Brendan's assistant), Chico (Gary's driver) and Ruta (Gary's mentor) -- is completely real and utterly unaware that Wootton is staging an elaborate performance.
